In addition to the Taylor River and meandering fly fishing streams in the Wilder meadow, there is a wide variety of waters to explore. These include fishing the Gunnison River, as well as 13 miles of prime gold medal water in the Black Canyon, which is touted as one of the top rivers in the lower 48. Opportunity abounds to chase after the famous Kokanee Salmon in the East River and to fish for large Lake Trout and Northern Pike in the Blue Mesa and Taylor Reservoirs.
