There are various Crested Butte fall events to choose from such as Tour de Forks, Chili & Beer Festival, Themed Historic Walk Tour, ARTumn Festival, CB Farmers Market, and Crested Butte Mountain Resort opening day. The fall experience in the Gunnison-Crested Butte Valley is viewed by many as quite possibly the best time of year. Tour de Forks | Sept. 5th

The Center for the Arts in Crested Butte is putting on its 18th annual Tour de Forks. Tour de Forks brings together food and architectural enthusiasts to visit a variety of private homes and dine on epicurean delights. Take part in the tour, on September 5th at 6 pm for the Tour De France.

Chili & Beer Festival | Sept. 7th

Kick-off the fall season at the 21st Annual Mt. Crested Butte Chili and Beer Festival, held at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Sample locally made chilis, sip some of Colorado’s finest craft beer, and enjoy some tunes. The event will be held from 12 pm – 4 pm at $30 a ticket. Your ticket allows you to cast a vote for the people’s choice awards for best chili and best beer! There are numerous free transportation options, so please plan ahead.

Themed Historic Walking Tour | Sept. 14th

Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum will be holding a 2nd Street Themed Historic Walking Tour Saturday, September 14th from 9 am – 11 am. Furthermore, the tour will feature the rich history of 2nd Street, a great learning experience of what was once the hub of Crested Butte. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. ARTumn Festival | Sept. 14th – 15th

The ARTumn Festival will exhibit an array of artisans and crafters featuring and selling their unique creations in pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, home décor, furniture, home accessories, and photography. This annual celebration of the Fall Solstice will be held from September 14 – September 18 from 10 am – 5 pm. The ARTumn Festival will be located in downtown Crested Butte on the west side of Elk Avenue.

Crested Butte Film Festival | Sept. 26th – Sept. 29th

Crested Butte Film Festival is a four-day international event that serves to inspire, awaken, and activate! The event includes walkable venues and the screening of almost 80 films including narrative, documentary, outdoor adventure, children’s, and short films. This festival will also feature filmmaker talks, panel discussions, lively parties, and other social events.

Crested Butte Farmers Market | Sundays Sept. 8th – Oct. 6th

Enjoy the Crested Butte Farmer’s Market every Sunday from 10 am – 2 pm at 2nd and Elk Avenue. Walk down the street and savor a variety of locally sourced foods, drinks, and other goods, all while supporting local farmers and businesses.

CBMR Opening Day | Nov 27th

The official start to the winter season is on Wednesday, November 27. CBMR Opening Day will include live music and drink specials all day! Lift tickets and season passes will be required for access to the lifts.
